We will make contact with you one or two weeks before your arrival so that we arrange to meet you at the airport or at the port if travelling by sea. If you do not find anyone waiting for you at the airport please contact one of the summer reception committee members so that we can come for you and take you to your lodging place.

Once you have received your acceptance papers, we suggest that you contact your employer giving him details about your arrival and confirm dates of your placement with the company. Also, ask about the work procedure to be followed, like what clothes you should wear for work, starting time, what time and to whom you should report to on the first day. Kindly send a copy of this email to IAESTE Malta.

Try to arrange your arrival time during daytime so that you will help us in picking you up upon your arrival. We do understand however, that due to limited connections to Malta, it may not be possible for you to arrive during the daytime. We will do our best to be at the airport for your arrival whatever time you arrive!

If you cannot arrive at the agreed time and on the agreed day, for example, due to delays, make sure to call the IAESTE Malta committee and inform us as soon as possible.

Alternatively, you can come by sea, landing at Valletta Sea Passenger Terminal. During the summer months, Malta is connected to Sicily by daily car/passenger ferry and catamaran trips. There are frequent fast ferries to the Sicilian port of Catania (3 hours) and Pozzallo, Italy (90 minutes), but the seas can be turbulent with a heavy swell if it's windy.

Malta possesses its own national carrier, Air Malta, with regular connections to many European, North African and Middle Eastern centres. Visit Airmalta for more information.
